Founded in 1971
J.N. Giammarino Construction Inc. was founded in 1971 by James N. Giammarino. JNG began specializing in the petroleum industry, performing the installation of underground tanks and constructing gas stations and convenience stores throughout New York state. As JNG’s reputation grew, they became one of the preferred contractors for clients such as Hess, Sunoco Inc, and Mobil as well as smaller local petroleum distributors.
2000
In the mid 2000’s JNG Construction purchased the necessary equipment to start self-performing excavation support systems. This included temporary sheet piling and bracing. Once the news of this service got around, competitors and new clients alike began to call on JNG to perform their excavation support installations. This new service began to grow and some more specialized equipment was purchased to be able to perform more extensive scopes of work.
Geotechnical construction is now JNG Construction’s primary specialized service offered. We perform complete engineered SOE’s including but not limited to sheet piling walls and soldier pile and lag walls. These services also lead to large diameter drilling of caissons and secant pile walls. JNG offers a comprehensive list of geotechnical construction services that we perform throughout the entire North-East US.
Family-Owned
JNG is still a small family owned business. James’ wife, Regina Giammarino, and son, Nicholas Giammarino continue to carry on the family business. Due to these close family ties, JNG offers personalized attention to all clients and projects.
